The Cesar Chavez Bus Stop Improvements project will add amenities at four bus stop locations near Union Station on Cesar E Chavez Avenue between Alameda Street and Vignes Street.
Location: Central Los Angeles
Phase: Design & Engineering
Type: Better Transit
Forecasted Opening: Phased
Metro’s plan includes better transit, which is why we’re adding shelters, benches, lighting, drought-tolerant landscaping and bicycle amenities at four heavily used bus stops near Union Station on Cesar E. Chavez Avenue. These improvements create a better trip experience for riders and strengthen connections to other transit modes in the area.
Metro completed the transit pavilion at the corner of Cesar Chavez and Vignes in October 2020 and is currently finalizing the design of the remaining bus shelters included in this project.
