Metro’s plan includes access to opportunity, which is why we are looking at ways to redevelop Division 6, a former bus maintenance facility at 100 Sunset Avenue in the heart of Venice. This joint development project would create housing in proximity to transit and help shape a vibrant community.

Status

In January 2016, the Metro Board adopted a motion calling for a community-based process to determine a new use for Division 6, the former Metro bus maintenance facility, through Metro’s Joint Development Program.

In 2018 and 2019, Metro conducted community outreach and technical analysis to inform development guidelines for this site, which were published in June 2019. The process to select a developer also began in 2019 and is currently underway.
