C Line (Green) to temporarily suspend service between Crenshaw and Redondo Beach stations during the weekend of Oct. 9, 2020

The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) will temporarily suspend rail service on the C Line (Green) between Crenshaw and Redondo Beach stations beginning on Friday, October 9, through Sunday, October 11, to upgrade signal systems.

Construction work is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. Friday and conclude at midnight on Sunday, October 11, 2020.

Metro will provide a free bus shuttle service to the following rail stations that will be out of service: Crenshaw, Hawthorne/Lennox, Aviation/LAX, Mariposa, El Segundo, Douglas, Redondo Beach.

Shuttle buses will run the same train schedule on Friday, October 9 and on Saturday October 10 and Sunday October 11 every 15 minutes from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. and every 20 minutes at other times. Metro recommends passengers plan in advance their commute times and allow extra time.

Regular C Line rail service will continue between Norwalk and Crenshaw stations, where passengers will transfer to bus shuttles to continue their trip.

For those planning to go to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), the LAX Shuttle G operated by Los Angeles World Airports will continue to run its regular service from its usual stop at Aviation/LAX Station. Other options to LAX include Metro Lines 102, 111, 117 and 232.
