About this event
Our transportation system is an important part of everyday life for LA County’s nearly 10 million residents, and we need to make sure we are hearing from everyone, especially youth. The Metro Youth Council gives young people 14 to 17 years old a platform to share their experiences and ideas about Metro’s programs and plans for our communities and for the future. At the same time, this is a chance for youth to learn valuable leadership skills.
This informational session will cover the following topics:
- Goals of the Metro Youth Council
- What teen members can get out of the experience
- Commitments and expectations of members
- How to apply
- Application deadline and selection process
