Upgrading the Metro G Line with grade separations, signal priority, and improved safety features to deliver faster, more reliable service in the San Fernando Valley.


Metro is enhancing the Metro G Line with grade separations at Van Nuys and Vesper, a new aerial station at Van Nuys, signal upgrades, and advanced safety features at 13 intersections. These upgrades will reduce travel times and improve connections across the region.

Event Status
Metro’s contractor, Valley Transit Partners (VTP), began construction on February 21, 2025, closing Van Nuys Station and the bike path between Sepulveda and Woodman. Activities include demolishing the Van Nuys Station, building bridges at Van Nuys and Vesper, and constructing the aerial station. See Detour Map
