Rail to Rail Active Transportation Corridor Project – Segment A
The Rail to Rail path will connect the Metro K Line Fairview Heights Station, the Metro J Line Slauson Station, and the Metro A Line Slauson Station. The $143-million project is a significant investment in the Inglewood and South L.A. community, will inject new life and vibrancy into a historically disadvantaged area, and is expected to be completed in late 2024.

Metro has a plan to make it easier to get around and it includes complete streets that are safer for everyone. The Rail to Rail Project will create biking and walking paths that connect to the Metro K Line Fairview Heights Station and Metro A Line Slauson Station. The project will create more options for active transportation, connections to transit and access to opportunity.
Status
Segment A (Rail to Rail) is currently under construction. Activities include the creation of the bike and walking path.
Construction began on the western portion of the project in October 2022 (diagonal section at 67th St and 11th Av) and will move east until it reaches the Slauson Station on the Metro A Line.
