Estimated Project Completion
TBD

Metro is proposing peak-hour bus priority lanes along 4.3 miles of Sunset Bl from Vermont Av to Havenhurst Dr. The project would convert existing curbside lanes into bus and right-turn-only lanes weekdays from 7–10am and 3–7pm. Two general traffic lanes and parking would remain during off-peak hours. This project would improve travel for over 20,000 daily riders on Metro’s bus Line 2, enhance connections to the B Line and key corridors, and benefit more than 111,000 residents and 55,900 jobs nearby. As part of Metro’s NextGen Bus Plan, it helps create a faster, safer and more reliable transit network by using existing street space more efficiently.
