The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) has rescheduled its second virtual public meeting to Thursday, October 1, to release draft recommendations and get input from the community on its efforts to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
At the meeting, Metro’s Recovery Task Force will present draft recommendations developed with the help of extensive feedback from both Metro employees and the public and to solicit additional feedback on how best to proceed. The new meeting time will allow Metro staff time to present more potential recommendations for consideration.

Metro will take input from this virtual meeting to help develop a final set of recovery recommendations that will be released later.

Metro has reduced bus and rail service but is dedicated to keeping our transit system running during the COVID-19 crisis so that we can provide rides to those who need it most, including many workers in vital jobs including health-care, food service, groceries and other key jobs.
In coordination with the L.A. County Department of Public Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Metro urges riders to travel only to perform essential activities, which includes commuting to an essential job; visiting a doctor or veterinarian; obtaining medical supplies or medication; grocery shopping for yourself or others; providing care for minors, seniors, dependents and persons with disabilities or other vulnerabilities; legally mandated government purposes and to comply with law enforcement or court orders.
Metro would like to reiterate that the best way for travelers to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to wear non-medical face coverings, follow best hygiene practices, sneeze or cough into a tissue or your arm and wash hands frequently with soap and warm water.
