The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB 1)

The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB 1) presents Metro and local agencies with new and expanded funding opportunities to implement local and regional priorities.

Overview

The Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 (SB 1) was signed into law on April 28, 2017. SB 1 presents local agencies and Metro with new and expanded funding opportunities that will play an important role in our ability to implement local and regional priorities such as Measure M, the 2009 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) and Measure R. SB 1 created and funds new programs and provides additional funding for existing programs such as the Active Transportation Program (ATP), Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program (TIRCP), and the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).
