Upcoming Restriping Work for the Flower St Bus Priority Lane

The Flower St Bus Priority Lane, located between 7th St and Adams Bl in downtown LA, began in June 2019 as a pilot project in support of the New Blue Improvements Project. This lane is in operation from 3pm to 7pm on Monday through Friday and serves thousands of bus riders including those using service provided by Metro, LADOT, Torrance Transit and OCTA.
To ensure good visibility and to adhere to traffic safety standards, Metro’s contractor will re-stripe along the existing bus priority lane on Flower St. This work will occur from Wednesday, June 23 through Friday, June 25 from 9am to 4pm.
Parking will temporarily not be allowed on the west side of Flower St between 7th St and Adams Bl during this time (all other time restrictions apply). Temporary “NO PARKING” signs will be placed along the impacted portion of the street during construction. The construction notice related to this upcoming work can be found here.
