The purpose of this project will be to improve freeway operations and safety along both directions of I-405 between Wilmington Avenue to Main Street in the City of Carson. This will be done through the construction of lanes between on- and off-ramps (auxiliary lanes) to improve weaving, merging and diverging vehicle movements.
Status
The Project Study Report (PSR/PDS) was completed in October 2020. Project Approval and Environmental Document (PAED) phase to start in Summer 2023. The PA&ED phase is anticipated to finish in Summer 2026.
