The North Hollywood to Pasadena Transit Corridor connects the San Fernando and San Gabriel Valleys with Bus Rapid Transit (BRT).
Location: Central Los Angeles, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley
Phase: Environmental Review
Type: Better Transit
Forecasted Opening: 2024
The North Hollywood to Pasadena Transit Corridor project is part of Metro’s plan for better transit. This project will connect the cities of Los Angeles (North Hollywood and Eagle Rock communities), Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena, improving access to jobs, education and other important destinations.
With this project, Metro is planning Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), which is faster and more reliable than regular bus service. BRT will help take cars off the road and serve neighborhoods that need public transit services the most, while improving air quality with the use of electric zero-emission vehicles.
Metro began studying various routes for this project in 2018 and is currently in environmental review. We released a Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) for public review and comment from October 26, 2020 to December 28, 2020. The Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) is expected late Spring 2021.
