Tap for Free Rides - V2

It’s simple, the more you ride, the more you save.

With more journeys on Metro, riders earn unlimited free rides with every tap. Once they reach the 1-Day or 7-Day fare cap, rides are FREE!

Ride More

Ride with a TAP card, ride more and ride for free. Frequent riders will benefit the most.

We have fares for everyone

Whether you ride Metro often or are new to it, we have you covered with the lowest fare possible.

  • Pay with a TAP card, Apple Wallet, TAP app or cash.
  • View all fares and learn what fits your paid ride.
Take 3 paid rides for $5, or 11 paid rides for $18. After that, it's free.

What is Fare Capping?

Fare capping means you never pay more than a certain amount for rides within a specific time. Once you pay that amount called a “cap” all rides on Metro buses and trains are free. Metro has 1-Day and 7-Day Caps.

Fare capping works when you pay for rides with a TAP card or Apple Wallet. Learn More.
